Homeschooling is rapidly becoming more and more popular in Israel, with hundreds of families throughout the country educating their children at home. There are homeschooling support groups in every part of Israel.
Homeschooling in Israel is legal, and in recent years the Ministry of Education has released guidelines for receiving permission to homeschool.
The Israel Home Education Association provides support for homeschoolers and unschoolers in Israel by maintaining this web site and an email mailing list.

We are a homeschooling family in Cleveland OH USA. Have you heard of an American family coming to Israel for a period of time (say a year) to learn more about this wonderful culture and people? I would envision this would be a type of fieldtrip where the entire family can be involved. I really don’t have any idea of how this could happen but really have a heart for the Jews and Israeli people, and would think being engrossed in culture for a few months would be the greatest experience for us and our children.
